Time Zone Update

Beginning in 2007, the United States daylight saving time period is being extended to comply with the Energy Policy Act of 2005. Daylight saving time will start at 2:00 A.M. on the second Sunday in March (three weeks earlier) and will end at 2:00 A.M. on the first Sunday in November (one week later).

Microsoft® Windows® operating systems are affected by these changes and must be updated. dcLINK® uses Microsoft Windows and its time zone values and consequently will also need to be updated.It will be necessary for you to update and test your Microsoft Windows operating system and dcLINK installation prior to March 11, 2007, which is when daylight saving time begins in the US.

DSI is providing this eXtranet page to assist all dcLINK clients with updating their operating systems and dcLINK installation to comply with the new daylight saving time settings.

If you currently subscribe to the dcLINK Maintenance Plan:

DSI is providing dcLINK automated updates and downloads for affected versions of the dcLINK software to our clients who currently subscribe to the dcLINK Maintenance Plan. This dramatically reduces the potential of corrupting your Microsoft Windows registry file by attempting manual updates to this critical file. Please log on to the DSI eXtranet site and look for the “Important Time Zone 2007 Information” link near the top of the home page. The dcLINK patch downloads as well as the instructions are made available through this link.

Click the “Instructions” link from the table below that corresponds to your Microsoft Windows operating system and dcLINK version to view and print detailed manual update information.
